New Sweden School in the News

Two weeks ago, an AP report from Portland visited to talk with us about nordic skiing in schools.  We got students outside for a photo op and provided the reporter information.  The story went out today and we have seen it in online versions of several national newspapers.  I have seen it in the Seattle Times, LA Times, Boston Globe and the Miami Herald.  Here is a link to the story on NPR:

If you haven't seen it, here is a link to the WAGM story last week.

Alex B. will be representing Aroostook County in the Elks Shoot Out in Bangor on Sunday.  Good Luck Alex.

We have our first home basketball game tonight against Woodland.  Good Luck Boys.

Let's all do a snow dance!

If it is going to be this cold, I would prefer to have the snow to go with it.  It sounds like most of the students agree.  We have had to cancel sledding during recess because there is not enough snow on the hill.   The after school ski program has been suffering from the lack of snow.  Ski team will be beginning soon and our trails need more snow.
